Georgia Truitt

Is the President of SDTR and is a PATH-certified instructor. Georgia has been riding for almost 40 years and has been providing lessons for 20 years. She obtained her PATH certification in 2002 and has been managing SDTR's day to day operations with Kelly Boyer since 2000. Georgia's role at SDTR along with her full time job as a Recruiter at Christiana Care keeps her very busy! She also enjoys riding her Hanoverian mare Dagmar and spending time outdoors with her dogs, going to the beach and gardening.

Kelly Boyer

Kelly became involved in SDTR in 2002 after answering an ad for volunteers and immediately fell in love with the program. Kelly began taking riding lessons in elementary school and bought her first horse at 14yrs old. Kelly graduated from University of Delaware with a degree in Animal Science and Business. She went on to work for a non-profit organization training service dogs. After moving permanently to Southern Delaware in 2002, Kelly began volunteering for SDTR and working at Tidewater Physical Therapy. Kelly has learned a tremendous amount about people, horses and the non-profit sector since she has been a part of the program.

Keith McDonald
PATH Certified Instructor

Keith most recently served as Director of Human Resources and Training for the nonprofit financial institution, Justice Federal Credit Union, with multiple locations around the country. Prior to his many years in the Human Resources field, he worked with adults with disabilities, overseeing job training and life skills programs. He also worked as a social worker for several years prior to entering the Human Resources field. He is an experienced horseman and has been an active volunteer with SDTR for many years.
